Male' -05/08/2007 16:05 - In the press conference, Dr. Saeed said in the press conference that Gayyoom's reform agenda had failed and that he should not be running for another presidential term. Jameel said that he wants to serve the people and not just once person (referring to the dictators).Male' - Mohamed Jameel and Dr. Hassan Saeed has resigned from the Maldives Dictator cabinet this afternoon. It is believed that this was the outcome of an infighting in dictator's party DRP after Jameel walked out of the debate organised by Haveeru on the system of government held last night in Dharubaaruge. A press conference is currently underway. Dr. Hassan Saeed served the Dictator's cabinet as Attorney General, in addition to that he is also deputy leader of DRP. It is not known whether he has resigned from the party as well. Jameel served the cabinet as Justice Minister. The two were amongst the key new breed of the dictator's regime.
